Yoga Is for Everyone: Why Equity and Accessibility Must Lead the Way

Updated: Nov 11, 2025

We’re living in a pivotal moment.

Movements like Hands Off are shedding light on the deep-rooted imbalances of power and systemic injustice that continue to affect our most vulnerable communities. As yoga professionals, we stand at a unique intersection where healing meets sustainability, and individual well-being is deeply tied to collective liberation.

But here’s the truth: capitalism has crept into our industry. From overpriced certifications to exclusionary wellness spaces, many yoga professionals are finding it harder than ever to grow, serve, and stay grounded in their values.

At Brain Cradle, we’re committed to doing things differently.

Our Mission: Keep Yoga Diverse, Accessible, and Equitable

We believe yoga should be:

  • Affordable for aspiring teachers

  • Accessible to diverse communities

  • Rooted in shared wisdom, not rigid hierarchies

  • A space for community, not competition

That’s why we work to keep prices low, offerings open, and create tools that are adaptable—not prescriptive.

Whether you're building your first RYS 200 yoga teacher training, expanding into RYS 300, or seeking support for your RYS 500 curriculum, our goal is to amplify your voice, not override it.

A Personal Note From Our Founder

As the founder of Brain Cradle, I’ve often steered clear of overt politics in studio spaces—but this moment calls for clarity and courage.

Yoga is for community, not control. For love, not fear. For support, not exclusivity.

My mission is to grow Brain Cradle into a resource that uplifts all yoga educators, not just those with privilege, connections, or capital. Because a more inclusive, collaborative future isn’t just possible—it’s necessary.

Let’s Build a Better Yoga Industry—Together
